We stayed in Majestic 4 th time and was great as each time. That is for us best hotel on Bavaro.
All the food was very good, some was excellent and variety was outstanding. The staff was very friendly and took excellent care of guests.
The guest-facing staff was terrific. Estefany and Rafael at our favorite bars seemed to adopt us as family and we were actually sad to leave them at the end of the week. The Guest Services staff were very attentive and responsive (Esteban at the Front Desk and our butler, Angel, took particularly good care of us). The property is beautifully landscaped and pretty well maintained. The beach accommodations were by far the best in the area (we walked over a mile in both directions to check out the other resorts)! The variety of activities and venues kept my husband and I AND our 20-something kids consistently busy and happy. This is definitely on the list for a possible return visit. Strongly recommend that guests without children opt for the Colonial Club (adult-only) section of the property.
The housekeeping staff were frustrating to deal with. They won’t help you unless they are assigned to your room and then pretend they don’t understand you when you ask day after day for “una mas” washcloth. This is not a destination for foodies, although the Japanese restaurant was very good and the French restaurant was okay. Otherwise, stick with ‘standards’ like omelets for breakfast and burgers or pasta for lunch. Be prepared for ridiculous waits and routing at the airport.” subscribe=”UCEkW8bQp2N-eHs5q8rsSxvg”]
