Pluses:
The hotel is very good to stay there and not to go out because is a little bit far from playa del Carmen downtown (10min taxi with a cost of 6-7 usd)
The food was abundant at the buffets with plenty of fresh fruit like avocados & papayas. We especially enjoyed the restaurant called El Pescador. The salmon was delicious!
Also, there was an entrance to Xcaret Park from the hotel that made it convenient to go back and forth.
The pools were numerous - one had a swim-up bar with a waterfall that you had to swim through in order to get a drink.
It was great for an all-inclusive vacation.
Minuses:
The DJ of the disco was very bad but well is a hotel DJ jajajaja
There were renovations going on throughout the property. The chemical smells were especially pungent as you walked by.
I also thought that the sales staff who were trying to sell time shares were rather pushy. They said "no pressure" and in the next breath they asked us what they could do to get us to buy.
